Resin Bound.

A joint-free finish made from natural aggregates and UV-stable resin — hand-trowelled onto an engineered base across Cheshire and the North West.

About Resin Bound

How resin bound works.

Resin bound surfacing mixes natural stone with clear UV-stable resin, smoothed by hand into a seamless finish. It can be permeable when the layers beneath and the ground allow, there are no loose stones, and with over 55 blends to choose from it can be matched to any home.

Drainage by design

Resin bound can let water through when the layers beneath and the ground allow it — we check this at assessment.

UV stable & durable

UV-stable resin resists fading. Long-term performance depends on the base, drainage and use, which we specify for your site.

Low maintenance

A clean jet wash once or twice a year is all it takes to keep the colour fresh.

Is resin bound right for you?

  • Can be permeable with the right build-up
  • Wide choice of natural colour blends
  • Very little upkeep

Considerations

  • Needs a sound base underneath — we check this first
  • Best laid in dry weather
  • Costs more than tarmac per square metre

Resin Bound questions.

What is a resin bound driveway?+

A mix of UV-stable polyurethane resin and natural, kiln-dried aggregate, hand-trowelled onto a prepared base. The result is a smooth, joint-free surface that can be permeable over the right build-up and needs very little maintenance.

Can resin go over my existing drive?+

Sometimes. It depends on the condition of what is there now. We assess the base and tell you honestly whether an overlay or full reconstruction is right.

How long does it last?+

Laid over the right sub-base, a resin bound driveway is built for long service life. The construction underneath, drainage and use decide how long — we explain this in your specification.
